About Epting Events

Every good party tells a story. It’s the story of the people who come together. Of the food they eat and the conversations they share. We are the storytellers that infuse an event with the essential details that bring your story to life. From exceptional cuisine to designing the perfect setting to the finishing touches as the event unfolds, Epting Events welcomes you to a story that begins with our genuine Southern hospitality and ends with your happily ever after.

At Epting Events we throw parties that are infused with the flavors of the South, enlivened by local tastes, presented with unique flair, and served with Southern hospitality. Our creative comfort food provides a twist on the classic dishes of this region, offering savory and delightful fare for your guests. We pair delicious food with floral, décor, and lighting design elements to tell your story through an event experience that we oversee down to the last detail, from food to fun, so that you can feel like a guest, too. After all, we love a good party..

Lee Epting

Lee Epting, founder of Epting Events, got his start in private catered events in the late 1960s. Word spread about his delicious food and knack for putting together a fun party, and in 1977 Lee Epting Catering was born. Today, the company is known as Epting Events and employs more than 70 full-time employees and over 250 part-time caterers. The last two decades have seen enormous growth at Epting Events, including an international tourism conference in Switzerland where Lee was sent to cater and represent the state of Georgia. In recent years, Lee’s work with Epting Events has been featured on Bravo’s The Newlyweds, TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, and on TBS’ Trends with Benefits. Several of Epting Events’ parties have been featured in Southern Living, Southern Weddings, Occasions Magazine, Weddings Unveiled, Garden & Gun and Atlanta Brides. Now, fans of Epting Events can catch Lee and his sons, Ashley and Daniel, on Black Tie & BBQ on Comcast Xfinity On-Demand. This is a behind-the-scenes event and travel show following the Epting crew as they cater some of the best parties around the Southeast.

Daniel Epting

Daniel Epting was raised in an event planning family, so naturally a love of entertaining was passed down to him as well. He began as a busser and shortly after began running kitchens for high-end served meals and large scale buffets. After working in construction and house restoration, he rejoined his father and brother in 2009 at Epting Events and is now the COO, running the company’s operations and logistics. Daniel recently opened The Cotton Press, an exclusive Epting venue entertaining 500 to 600 people. Daniel, along with his new venue, can also be seen on Black Tie & BBQ.

Ashley Epting

Raised around the catering and events industry, planning parties is in Ashley’s blood. Moving to New York City to attend the Gallatin School in NYU, Ashley worked for several different catering companies and restaurants in the city. Working for other caterers allowed Ashley to pull ideas and inspiration for when he eventually returned home to Georgia to work at his family’s company, Epting Events. Today, Ashley works tirelessly to merge his passion for the entertainment industry with his love for catering and the event planning business. For the last several years, Ashley has served on the board of the Atlanta Film Festival and Epting Events has served as a catering sponsor for this notable event. Now, fans of Epting Events can catch Ashley and the rest of the Epting family on Black Tie & BBQ on Comcast Xfinity On-Demand. The show will focus on the Epting Family and crew and their adventures in party planning.
